FRJ; That is a nice little Robeson and one of my favorite patterns.

The first Robeson pearl handled knife I bought was a 110. I found it in an antitiques shop in Pensacola, Florida, in 1988. I think I paid twenty dollars for it. It was a nice knife, but the blades were grey. I eventually replaced it with a near mint example and then traded it off.

I sometimes regret having done that. Every time I look at the one I have, I recall the thrill of finding that little knife in Pensacola.

BTW; I have never seen this pattern with anything other than pearl handles. If a bone or black composition or ebony one exists, I'd surely like to have it.

This little beauty is tang stamped OSBORN. Its 1&1/4" long. Milled nickle silver liners. Long pull spear main blade. The hawkbill (could be a sheepfoot)blade has a long pull. The pen blade has a lifting tab. It also has a corkscrew and sizzors. Three backsprings. Nice pearl scales. :D

That is a beauty, knife-nut. Very fancy.

Thanks Johnnie.

Charlie, I about fell over when I won the bid on e-bay for $16.27. Plus a whole $3 shipping. It's in great shape too.
I wish I had taken better pictures. Is this a swell center sleevboard? Thanks.

I've always called it a little humpback pen. I'm sure the noted knife writers like Levine have another name for it.

knife7knut wrote:Not really a vintage pearl but a nice one nonetheless;an American Blade Life Knife serial #866(of 1000).I believe you could only buy these if you became a lifetime subscriber of the American Blade Magazine. It is a 5 blade sowbelly with scales made in 3 pieces;the center is a piece of abalone surrounded by pearl. The pearl is flawless and fiery. All blades are stamped and it was made in Japan(by whom I'm not really sure but it is a high quality knife).
HIGH QUALITY Yep pers they are ... ::nod::
I just wanted to add mine. Its a set.
