I've never owned a Sabe fixed blade but I remember the Sabre folders that you could but for 99 cents back in the 50's and 60's.

Outlaw,

I have the twin to that Sabre bowie knife (bottom knife in the first picture) stashed away somewhere. It was an inexpensive knife that I bought when I was about 12 years old. That was in 1967 or 1968, not for sure, but hopefully that will give you a bit of a timeline.
