ANG&Co.???????

Hi all, Got this bloke not long ago.

2&9/16 closed, main,,,1&5/16, pen,,,1&1/8.
Tang reads ANG&Co over SOLINGER.
PILE Tang reads main, GERMANY.
PILE Tang reads pen, SOLINGER.
The main blade has a swedge with long pull on both blades.
Seems to be of good quality.
Couldn't find anything in my books or google.

Any info would be good, thanks.

PS.. sorry about the pic's. my bad. PS. Got the tripod out and did it properly.

You sure it doesn't say Solingen?

As for the photos, Appears your camera focused behind the knife.

I suggest moving the knife away from the background a few feet and use your Macro setting if you have one. A lighter colored and less "busy" background might be advantageous as well.

You've got good subject matter though. Fine looking old knife. They sure did make a lot of them in Germany back in the day.

Try this to get your focus better. Aim the center of the camera toward a part of the knife, push the shutter release button halfway down to lock the focus, then while holding the button half way down, adjust the composition to get the knife in the middle of the picture. Then push the button down the rest of the way to take the shot. That way the focus will be on the knife, rather than the background. And like Willie said, use macro mode if your camera has it. And then just practice, taking lots of shots until you get something you like. It's not like the bad old days when it cost $20 a roll for film and processing.

One question though. Do you antipodean guys use a special program to turn the pictures right side up?

Trail, Been called lots of 4 letter words, never been called one of those centipede things,
had to look it up in the word book. But, yeah I'll answer to that.
Haven't got macro on my pic taker. but need heaps of practice.
Right side up pic's I think you speak of, my photo gallery on PC has a turnaround in it.
When I upload to gallery I can put them right there.
I think that's what you meant.???

Does that word mean " over here " ?

Oh my goodness, antipodean......now thats a new one!!Ha ! Ummm, wouldnt downside up and upside down depend upon whether the cutting subject was ummm....below, or above...or...ummm....oh nevermind, now I`M confused
