Another knife

Post by just bob »

WM. Jessop & Sons / Sheffield. Shame that it has a broken blade. Does have tweezers built into the handle and a spring loaded blade underneath. Has "cigar molde" stamped on back of blade. Anyone have any idea of value on this? I have never seen one like it.

Not familiar with the name but that is a nice old smoker's knife.The button hook was used for men's shirts(and ladies' gloves);the fork for holding a short cigar butt;the pick for piercing the end of a cigar and cleaning out a pipe stem;and the n/s disc for tamping down pipe tobacco.It should slide out slightly and then pivot 90 degrees.Nice find even with the broken blade.

That pearl is amazing! ::tu::

How does the other side look?
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Here are some pics of the other side. The small chrome nub at the bottom of the handle is actually a pair of tweezers that go up into the handle. I did get the last blade open that was stuck and it is a file on the outside and then has a recessed inner file on the inside. I appreciate the comments on this. I know nothing about it at all.
