Powder Horn in burnt stag...of course ;-)

Just got this rascal in, lovely knife, was tempted by their Toothpick which has a single
blade that has a slightly different profile, I liked this better plus it has two blades.

Here are some images taken tonight of her along with her cousin, the top knife, a Half Congress, also lovely as well...





















Very good walk and talk on both knives, the Half Congress has, half stops, I guess as it should,
the Powder Horn doesn't have half stops but it is a smooth pull on both blades with solid
blade in position, meaning no play what so ever when opened up full.

I took the blades to my EdgePro and they be nice and sharp now, arrived in cutting condition
but I always like to put just a bit more sharpness on my knives.

Great knives from this place, highly recommend them both,

Tried to get a shot of the mirror edge on the PowderHorn's main blade,
I used my EdgePro to attain that even bevel and polish,
and with the nice flat grind, the blade really slices well

Very nice pictures, and that edge looks amazing.

I like the Powderhorn a lot--the master blade has a great shape, and yours in particular has some great stag. One of these days I may just have to bite the bullet and get one!

Even though it's four inches long, I'll bet the shape makes it very pocket friendly.

Gary, that looks like a good cutter to me.
I love the #12 frame, and that main blade looks killer for a ton of chores, I'd love to hear how you like using it, and I know you'll love it.

Thanks guys and she cuts great, very keen and they do a great job of grinding down the blade so it's fairly thin, great for slicing. And the stag is nice, I'd liked to have had the Northfield shield on but it's nice as she sits. As I can't afford all these knives, I ended up selling the Half Congress, this PH just screams carry me ALL THE TIME and is a very jealous knife, as some knives can be so off the half congress goes to a new home, I'll miss her too, as I miss all the knives I've parted with over the years. The PH just has a bit more heft to it as well as, for me, a better fit to the hand in use. And the main blade is impressive, would have liked the smaller blade to have been a coping blade but the pen will do, looked at maybe grinding it down but didn't think that it would grind down and look right so I'll leave it be.
