Hats off to you Bryan for AAPK site!

Post by OldToenailCollector »

Bryan
Sorry it has been so long since I have been back, but my AllAboutPocketKnives has grown tremendously. I remember when you started it out and to see you have almost 1500 members is very impressive.

I am tickled to see the knife community's acceptance of your online venue and the "community feel" you have created here. While I am in favor of knife shows and swap meets, it is getting harder to breakaway for a weekend, or even a day, to travel to a show. You have established AAPK "as a home away from home" while we collectors await the next time we can meet with our friends in person.

I am very impressed with the extensive amount of information you have added to the site too.

Keep up the great job (and as a "creator" of a knife information site I can appreciate the huge investment of time, energy and care you have spent creating and maintaining this masterpiece).

We appreciate what you have done! ::ds::

I'll second those sentiments!! ::nod::

It's been great to watch this site grow and still maintain such a pleasant atmosphere.

I cheerfully & eagerly agree with Scott & Bill as I myself applaud all of Bryan's efforts in giving us a wonderful knife site that any collector (old & new) can come to for information on all types of cutlery (antique as well as new age) for all of us to share in with! ::tu:: ....The camaraderie here is of the highest standards that I have seen anywhere, on any other knife site, not to mention it being so user friendly for everyone here! ::nod::

Thank you Bryan, I too appreciate your knife site more than words can ever express! ::ds::

Not much I can add to what everyone else has said, AAPK is the best, IMHO. I have never seen a site where the person who runs it bends over backwards to be so accomodating.

Thanks Bryan! ::tu::

1500 members is very impressive. Do they all have a HAT yet?

I think that we can help just by getting a hat here or a knife from Bryans store. I am looking at a Canal Street knife may be 2 for $69.00??

I just want to agree with what everyone else has said so far. This is an excellent site ::tu:: , that has a wealth of information and knowledge that is acessible to all. Even though I dont post alot, I mostly just lurk, this is the first place I come to when I get on my computer. I would just like to say to Bryan that I appreciate all of your efforts and the time you put in to this site. Thanks for making me feel welcome and comfortable here.

Bryan has done a great service to those of us heavily infected with the "Slipjoint Virus" but after all it was his obligation to bring us peace. He knows that our troubled minds and skinned up fingertips needed care and a place to gather so the world would not condem us for our ravenous passions of blade lust... ::drool::

Yes Bryan thanks for your compassion and care in this site and most of all we know that you are heavily infected as well with the virus and well into advanced stages of the SJ virus... :shock:

I am sure Bryan would agree that you guys are the best and you are what makes this site so great... ::nod::

Hi friends. Thank you so much for your kind words. I really enjoy working on this site and I hope to think we are just getting started here at AAPK. There is lots of new stuff in process and I'm extra excited about the future.
I am sure Bryan would agree that you guys are the best and you are what makes this site so great... ::nod::
Those are my thoughts exactly. I've always fealt that it's the membership as a whole who make this place what it is. ::tu:: I've never met a better group of people anywhere. That's what makes this dang ole knife addiction so much fun IMO. ::tu::

I now include a copy of Bryan's business card in every knife I sell. I would hope that others would do this too. It helps get more members to visit our site and increase all of our knowledge

Thank you Bryan, hope my idea helps as least a little bit
