Northwoods Knives

Post by Spectrum »

I bought a Northwoods "Bird & Trout" fixed blade last year from an online dealer and was so impressed by the quality that I bought another Northwoods fixed blade- a small "Caper". Both have cocobolo handles and the blades are D2 tool steel. Not shown in the photos are the good quality leather sheaths that came with them.

Thanks for your reply. That is a great looking knife,I'll have to keep the Northwoods' folding knives in mind. I like to support the few remaining American cutlery companies.

I only have the one. At 7 13/16" OAL, it's called a 'Button Hole'. Strange name for a knife but they didn't ask me. I would like a couple of the folders but so far... ::shrug::

My first knife show was the Queens Show in 2007.
They had an auction and I won this Northwoods Fixed Skinner Cocobolo D-2 Steel 8 1/4 " 3 7/8 ". It was donated by a dealer that I for got his name. ::facepalm::

I can't help but think that Queens made this knife also.

Mighty fine Northwoods knives guys. I have a few. Most are here. http://www.titanskins.com/knives/nw.htm .
I'm attaching a photo of my Scagel #6 made by Northwoods. My favorite is the bird and trout handmade by Mr. Dave himself.
