I picked this up last week off ebay. I had to clean off the rust, but even in the pics I could tell what it was.
High Carbon Steel was a trademark used by Camillus on knives made for Sears, c. 1927-1940, (per Goins). Often they were etched “Sta-Sharp,” though any last vestige of etch was long ago removed by the rust on the blade. It does have shallow pitting on the blades, but the bone is near perfect! There is little snap to the main blade as the tang of the blade is worn down. I realize this will never be worth a bundle, so it just may get some pocket time.
It sure has nice carbon steel!
