It's a sweetheart for sure! ::tu::

Here's an old pruner from CCC Sheffield. When I got it, there was a nail for the pin. I put a 1/8th brass pin in it for the time being, and got it too tight like a dummy. ::disgust::

I left the ends proud so I can take 'em out easier if I feel like it one of these days..

WOW !!! that is a beauty Paul. Is that a true easy opener without a nail nick on the master?
Nice find I might have to paddle across the sound and look for some knives on Long Island.

Funny thing about Challenge knives. Up until about a year and half ago, you could buy 'em all day long for around 30 bucks for a REALLY nice one.

Times have changed.

Maybe I need to think about selling off some.

I've got a big ol Challenge jack that I EDC. Snaps like a bear trap and keeps an edge.

Sadly, I don't own a single Challenge knife........yet. You guys are sure showing up with the goods and I appreciate you sharing them with the rest of us. Those are great examples of some fine old American made cutlery. ::tu::

Here's big old jack, over 4" closed. Re-pinned somewhere back in the day. Tight as drum and snaps like its supposed to.

It still had pocket fuzz and pieces of grass inside it when I got it. Looks like blood stains on the main blade.

Here is a neat old Challenge lockback, it is missing the folding guard, but I still like the knife.
