I got the Ruby Red Buffalo Bone 73 about three weeks ago. It goes along with my River Valley Green bone--they'll make a great pair at Christmas. It was sold as an EDC and I got it cheap. Really can't find anything wrong with it, and can't find an "S" stamped on it. On the spey blade the etch says "Pattern Production Finale". Dated 2007. It actually came pretty sharp but I put a wicked edge on it and it's already seen a good bit of pocket time.

And then after that I just flat couldn't stand it no more. I've always been stockman kinda guy. So this little feller showed up yesterday:

Calf Roper!

Image

Indian Choffee jig bone. This is a darned nice little knife. Every blade on this knife came sharp enough to slide right through paper. It's the only one of five GECs I've had that I pocketed without putting an edge on.

It's small enough to be very pocket friendly, but stout enough to be a good user.

Now I want a Cattle Rancher to go along with it!

Very nice 'Jammer, Paul, and Cooter! ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

This isn't exactly a pocket knife, but I am stoked about it - it's my first Bark River, and my new camp knife … I can't wait to put her to work!

I just bought these knives off of eBay. They are a pig in a poke as far as brands are concerned, the seller didn't say what the brands are. Since the price was right I decided to have a go at them and won the bid. I'm hoping that they are NYK (or H.S.& B or Marshall Wells, Camillus (pretty sure about that one) and Cattaraugus. It will be fun (I think) opening them and finding out what I have, anyone care to venture another guess?

Yes TJ, it's Desert Ironwood Burl … and the scales had a lot to do with my decision to grab it.

Earl, those SM jacks are the bee's knees!

I love that pattern and the ebony and the shield are great!

There's just something about an ebony knife--I don't have one but I saw on the GEC site that they there is an ebony 73 on the June production schedule.

I've blown my budget lately but those are gonna be hard to resist.

Hmmm... the descriptions @ Sooner State indicate stainless blades. That's incorrect, yes?
