GEC Sunfish Sheath

Post by dirtpig67 »

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that sells relatively cheap leather sheaths that will fit the #36 sunfish. Somthing like this:

http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store ... ml?s=SH201

Looking for something with a snap cover like that one as well. Those cheap ones from that particular online store and many others may work but there is no way to know until you have it in hand.

Thanks

dirtpig67 Hello;

I am 62 years old now and, I have a feeling that makes me want to help you. You said you wanted a CHEAP sheath. Will you tell me why? It is my experience in life to get quiet things if I am going to use them. Due to the fact I can not afford cheap things and buy them over and over again, and again. Leather and knife steel have many grades. For a user I am sure you want a good blade, right. The same thing for the sheath. Well this is JMO.

Ken ....:wink:

Yup already have one of those in dark brown and it is great. I use it as my everyday sheath. I was looking for a relatively cheap sheath for use in the woods, on hikes, etc., when having it completely covered and secure is necessary. It would not get used a huge amount so I am not wanting to spend as much as I did for the one from TSA.

Plus that sheath from TSA is just too pretty to mess up :mrgreen:

Nice ones but not really cheap ones. Great place to order from which I have done on several occasions.

I found this one that is not too bad (the one at the very bottom left of the page). They e-mailed me and said they make it for the Sunfish but the wait time is 17 weeks!!

Any other options out there?
