need info on joe gibbs case xx commemorative knife 1991

does anyone have a clue to the value of this knife.I have it in a metal collectors box and it commemorates joe's football championship and his endeavors into racing at nascar.it is 1 of 2500 made.thanks for any info on its value.

If you can provide more information on the exact knife, we may be able to help, but most of the knives from that program will only bring their retail value or a little less at this time unless it is of unusual design and quality. I would guess that it is a 6254 trapper with lazer engraving??? Let us know.

yes,it is a redbone trapper and the number is dr6254ss made in bradford
pa.it is engraved on both blades.there is also a number 393 just beneath where it says case xx and where it was made.the condition of the knife is like new as it has been kept in the metal container it came in.

A knife like this appeals to two audiences. Knife collectors and Race fans. Two a person who is just a knife collector it may not be worth more than the price of the knife at this time. A bone handled CASE trapper is about $75 on average I guess, some more, some less. As a Race fan collectable, I am not sure of its value as I am not up on that. You may know yourself. The appeal is to someone who is both. Now the value maybe some combination of the two. I guess it comes down to what my daddy told me years ago. "unless you got someones who is willing to buy or trade an item, it isn't worth anything" Guess I was clear as mud on that one.
