Don't know anything about 'em, but I landed this Parker Cut. Co. Buzz Tail today.

The handle has the look and feel of real bone....Does anyone know if it is?

Unk I'm glad to know you landed that Canal Street ring pull but I got to tell ya if I hadn't forgotten to log on to ebay till after the auction ended, you wouldn't have gotten it that cheap. You got that for WAY less than they sell for. Congrats.
Also nice GEC you have there.

Triple F I do believe that your knife has bone handles. Those are nice knives and seriously underrated, especially as users.

Unk, both those knives are wonderful but it looks like your real score is laying down in the background! ::nod:: Beautiful Sheppard. My wife and I were seriously going to get one a few years ago right up to the time we bought a Golden instead. I've NO regrets with the Golden, but I hopefully will raise a Sheppard before I die. ::nod:: ::nod::

Hi Gunsmoke,

Thanks - You are right about Schatzi......working from home, she is my constant companion. I guess in my 50 years, I can't remember ever being WITHOUT a dog.....and she is hands-down the best dog we have ever had.

This one arrived today. It is a 1942 Baseball Jackmaster Hammer Made USA knife and wasn't listed in ebay in the usual knife categories but rather as sports memoribillia. Most of us old timers remember playing knife baseball as kids and when I saw this offered on ebay it brought back a ton of memories.

If my mind can remember, I think these were part of a Baseball series that Imperial made in the 50s. Gotta see if I can find the card they went on.

Knife baseball was played by opening the short blade fully and opening the long blade halfway. Then you stick the tip of the long blade slightly on soft ground, and flip the knife from the tail. How the knife lands determines if you have an out, a single, a double, a triple or homerun.
The tang stamp reads Hammer Brand with a vertical USA to the left of the fisted hammer. The seller identified it as a 1942 knife.
