Here is a new one to me.
An old knife made for Herter’s, an old time outfitter supply.
It is a single backspring muskrat.
Knife made in Germany.

Thanks guys, I like it too.
Someone repinned one blade with steel (probably a nail).
I will eventually replace the pin with nickel silver like the other one.

I just got this in the mail last night. Thank you 'mumblypeg' for the great deal on these.
Nothing fancy or vintage here, just a neat piece to hang on the wall of the 'knife room'.
(That is if I ever get a whole room, lol)

Thanks again mumblypeg !!

These two came yesterday. The Calf Roper from GEC is just about the most pleasing knife I have purchased in quite some time. I normally prefer the old vintage knives, but I think GEC is hitting it out of the park about every at bat. Slanted, threaded, and pinched bolsters......It takes everything I have not to drop this one in my pocket.

And I have been looking for a little ring opener for my wife for a while - and this little mint Canal Street popped up on e-bay - I stole it for $29....just in time for Mother's day.
