TRADED ///schrade mustang

Post by gringo »

i have a schrade walden, OLD TIMER, Mustang for trade. 1250T.
this knife has a nice patina from many years of cigar box storage.
light sharpenin, scratches on tip area, scale shrinkage, blade is almost black..spotted above the line of the case...blade that is protected by case is also stained...not as heavy.

i have not found this tang stamp in the research section...hey orvet????
tang stamp is:
first line, schrade-walden
second line, N.Y. U.S.A.
last line, 1250T

no photos, sorry...

Gringo,
From what you describe, does the tang stamp looks like this one on this 163?

I had thought that the hyphenated stamps; SCHRADE-WALDEN, were earlier stamps. However the Mustang, 125OT was not introduced until 1971. So your knife was made between 1971-1973. The Schrade Walden name was dropped in 1973.

Gringo-
what (aside from a digicam) are you looking for?

Quality should not be an accident. So what is the explanation for some of the knives we've seen in the past few years? (from A Knifebuyer's Manifesto)
