Case XX Tang Stamp

I'm a newbie who's been lurking these pages for the past few months trying to absorb as much as I can & reading whatever outside materials I can lay my hands on. Lately I've been scanning ebay's pages for Case XX 1940-64 Folding Hunters, and I find that just about every example is either unacceptably flawed in some way or else with a reserve or BIN price that is far beyond my pocketbook. Today I found one that looks fine in every way... what looks like the right frame for an XX, the correct shield & blade shape, and absolutely beautiful stag handles. http://cgi.ebay.com/old-antique-vintage ... 35b17f71f8 What makes me hesitate is the tang stamp. I've been reading Witcher's book on Counterfeiting, & the tang stamps for Case XXs seem to be uniform throughout their years of manufacture. This particular stamp looks off... the 'C' and 'S' just look wrong. Maybe it's just the photograph.

I'll say it again... I'm a newbie whose opinion + $1.25 would not buy a cup of Starbuck's coffee. I'm probably making too much out of nothing, & I don't want to impugn the honor of someone who looks like a perfectly reputable dealer. Any other opinions on this knife?

Looks fine to me. there were actually a number of variations to the CASE XX tang stamp. But that knife and stamp look fine overall, no problems.
