No I'm not bidding. Yes I find myself working in OKC at the moment..
I actually lived between Lexington and Noble iabout 5 years ago.

Here is one I know came from the Philipines during WWII as my father got it there in 1943-44. He was in the USN stationed on the USS North Carolina (Battleship). It is 19 1/2" overall w/ 13 1/2" blade; looks like carved ebony handle and tropical wood sheath, all in need of restoration. This was dad's "kindling knife" and he split cords of the stuff with it, at home and camping out for 40 odd years. The thing about this knife is that it is obviously forged as there is both distal and lateral taper forged into the stick tang blade. It has most of the hammer marks remaining. The end cap is missing (you can see the end of the tang sticking out) but I think it was a small piece of brass. The back of the sheath shows the raised area w/ hole for a belt? and raised area at the tip, all carved from one piece of what looks like mahogany and the top looks like cedar? and may be a replacement, but I don't think so. He had it all taped together with electrical tape for years! Said it was a Philipine bolo knife.

i have one also...
handle broken...replaced with wrapped copper and melted lead...yeck.
the leather combat scabbard is worked with an identical pattern to the wooden scabbard...
looks like the usa shield with wings to me...
backside of blade was once painted with an OD green...that blue green shade of early WWII.( also the top of the mark side.

Thanks for the input on the knives....Just bought three more Threw a bid in a shade over 20 a knife. Like the sheaths on those....maybe get some pics when they come in....
