A study in obsession and greed...
Somehow I ended up with 20 of these

These have something in common.

I think I got all the number 02s except the genuine stag.

Re: #33 Conductor
I was showing the new Conductor I just got to my son and noticed that the bail does not seem right. Does anyone have a GEC NF Conductor that they can compare their bail to mine and see if it is the norm? Here is a pic of the bail. It almost looks as if the pin hole has been drilled at an angle causing a mis-alignment of the bail. Thanks a lot.

Re: #33 Conductor
TJ,
Even with the great picture its still hard to say?? The pin looks reasonably square to me. I do have a Conductor and although the bail appears more square, there is so little of the pin its hard to say. To me if you look at the gap on the right side of the bail, its says the bail is not square. If mine, I'd carefully square the bail if its bothersome.. I supppose GEC do could do it as well.
Very nice knife..... BH

It is a bit out of alignment. Mine sits square and even on each side.

The bail radius is not exactly right. It is made of nickel silver, you could probably bend it into a more uniform shape if you wished.

Re: #33 Conductor
A new bail is a 5 minute job at the factory. I don't think GEC is going to give anyone grief for trying to correct the radius of a bail. If one uses a knife with a bail they typically find themselves putting it back into shape many times. With the exception being those knives with heavy steel (bends like a 16D nail)
But if you think GEC would begrudge you trying to fix it yourself, you should get it back to them for correction asap.
That top picture of monk's doesn't look perfectly radius'd either; maybe they will have a learning curve at the factory on perfecting that bend.
