I'm looking to buy some old knives that I can work on that will help me get started in restoration and repair. Not looking for anything fancy, just some I can practice on and hopefully get them back into EDC shape if I'm lucky.
Thanks, Sam

Hello,
I noticed your post about looking for some project knives.
Are you just starting out wanting to repair and restore knives?
I myself have been doing it for almost 30 years.
Email me or post on this thread you started about your interests in repairing and restoring and maybe I can help you out with some starter knives.
What type of knives are you looking for, fixed or folders?
I can also offer you my years of experience in helping you along with your project.

I live in Delaware County just south east of Philadelphia in the suburbs.
That's 220 or so miles in-between us.
I am also quite a busy person with a full time job plus this little knife thing I do.
I also live with and care for my elderly Father so even if we were close by I don't think I could help you out with any hands on basic's.
But you do have this website. All you have to do is ask on the restore and repair forum and I and all the other friendly folks will be glad to give you any tips you need.
Hey, I'm no professional myself, if I was I wouldn't be on this forum.
Although I have restored and repaired knives for others at little to no profit and have been doing it for many years I am still learning myself. This type of hobby / side work is an on going learning experience.
Find a cheap old knife that still has all it's parts but needs repair and post your project on the repair part of this forum and I will and I'm sure others that know more than I do about knife repair and restore will help you along.
I hope to see a project post from you soon. give it a try it's fun.
