Antique Ulster pocket knife with XL N.Y. on handle

I was given a pocket knife from my grandfather like the one in the photo. Does anyone know when this may have been manufactured or the value?

welcome to the forum, i was recently given a ulster co scout and love it but im still learning about them so i bet someone will come on soon and give you the info you need , very nice pocket knife

It has "Ulster Knife Co" stamped on blade near the handle.

According to Goin's Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markngs that tang stamp was used from c.1876 until 1941.
