above and beyond the call(philco)

Post by zed6309 »

The other week phil said he wanted to send me something due to my passion for collecting pocket knives , Well after a hard night shift (i work with elderly with dementia) i popped down stairs to make a cup of coffe to take back upstairs with me and there was a kniock at the door ::ds:: the postman had a package from america , i quickly popped up stairs and using the srm10 i opened the box carefully, after i read phils very nice note etc i opended the bubble wrap, i am still amazed at what i found inside, 2 amaze pocket knives that i thought i would never get to own, 1 is a case sod buster jnr the other a ulster scout knife, i for one never thought i would own a case or a proper amaerican scout knife , these will take pride of place amongst my collection and i can thank phil enough, iam amazed at this act of kindness and am so proud to be apart of this forum, i cant wait to gather lots of information on these 2 pocket knives and post pics amonst all the other amazing scout knives and case knives,( i can post in other sections yipppppeeeee) again big thanks phil your a top guy .

yours very very happy

You will come to expect that type of behavior from Philco. He is an example of the kind of person I want to be when I grow up!
Congratulations Paul, you've got a couple of really nice knives to add to your growing collection. ::tu::

I told Phil what a great job he did by stepping up right
after Johnny died by meeting & greeting all the new members
just the way Johnny did !!!
His compassion for people on this board is unmatched !!!
From what I have read, it spills over into his everyday life...
Thanks Phil for all you do for all of us...wishing you the best
in life and after life...see you there in the latter

Phil is a good person and he does good things.
Him sending those knives to Paul in the UK does not surprise me one bit.
Sarah and I had the privilege of spending time with Phil and Vicki, including a nice evening out for dinner. They are good people.
Paul, those are two really nice knives.

I too can attest to what a true friend and gentleman Philco is.

A while back I was greeted with a package that contained a BUCK 105 Pathfinder like the one that was stolen from me many years ago.

Phil is treasure and a great asset to any community he chooses to reside.
