I will take the old ones off your hands any day. As you see, age and patina do not bother me one bit! :)

We got two more old congress knives this past weekend. First one is Booth Bros, Stockholm, NJ. The Booth has sort of an odd configuration. The tang stamps are actually on the opposite side of the pulls.

The second one is an ivory Joseph Rodgers. I know the scale is cracked on one side, but I don't remember seeing many Joseph Rodgers congress knives done in ivory. The ones I am used to seeing are mostly stag..

Thanks! It wasn't a cheap buy, but I love it. ::ds:: We got it off of ebay. The unbelievable part is that the seller is just over in the next county, so it was in our backyard all the time. ::smirk::

Very nice!
I was born in Beaver Falls ,so I have a special interest.
Some day I hope to get one.. ::tu::

have you been to Beaver Falls?
If so, do you know if the factory buildings at the end of town on the left are the old cutlery?

I was looking at Old Economy village online a few months back, very interesting history.
Those buildings look to be in the right area to be Beaver Falls cutlery(looked on google earth) train tracks are there as well.

My Grandfather owned a tavern/restaurant,The B&B on 7th ave for many years.
Still have family there though We are in s.e PA.
nice talking with you.
happy knife hunting! :)

I thought I would add this little Congress here also. I scanned a picture of it with a pencil to put the size into perspective.
