Take a look at this knife. The tang has 2 dots (x) so it should be a 2008, but the shield is wrong and the jigging looks wrong. What do you think? Hard to believe someone would go to all that trouble for such a cheap knife, but I think they did. The seller has sold a ton of items.

That knife is real. That is how the low end "working" knives from Case appear. When you look at the catalog pictures or the typical on line pictures they do look a lot better than that. But that one is the real thing. Glazed finished blades and jigged brown delrin handles.
