Butter & Molasses Eye Brand?

I just saw this one on Ebay.
I haven't seen one with a diamond shield, or this type of cell scales.

It doesn't look cobbled together, and the bolsters look right to me.
It's odd that the pics were taken over 3 years ago.
Does it look legit?

I bought a knife from this seller and was very satisfied. I sure do like the look of that Eye Brand, but don't worry I will not bid on it. I will not bid on it..............

Sure looks an awful lot like a Bulldog Coonstripe to me. Never seen an Eye Brand that had this blade in it but who knows Those are certainly coonstripe scales though, exactly like the Bulldogs I have. Heck, probably made in the same factory in Solingen.

I bought this knife at the auction. I didn't want to comment until it sold so as not to influence anyone one way or the other. I am fairly certain that this is a Bulldog frame, actually the 1st generation LUMBERJACK MOOSE frame that bulldog produced in 1983 with the COONSTRIPE handles and diamond shield. Also pretty sure that the EyeBrand blade was installed in the same factory "Obertz" in Germany where Bulldogs used to be made. I am not sure if eyebrand knives were made in the same factory or not. Just kind of an oddball knife that I thought might be fun to own.

and at a good price too.
Yes, Eye Brand knives were and still are made at the Olbertz factory.
I'm sure things get mixed and matched from time to time.
Mike Latham is selling some Eye Brand knives that he calls "Lunch Box" knives
that have the Eye Brand shield but the blade has another stamping on it.
He said the story is that Olbertz made these up to generate enough money for Christmas bonuses.
Yours is definitely a conversation starter.
