shell handled knives

I have been looking for one of these for some time, found one today.

It is a shell handle Super-Duper Kamp-King.

This thing has 6-blades, it has 2 can openers and 2 bottle openers

Why, I don`t know. I like the way they left two dimples in the shell to simulate pinned on handles.

It needs some cleaning, maybe I can talk Perry into cleaning it up for me He does such a nice job

What do you think the date is on the DE display, Glenn?
I have seen an earlier one without the 883 fixed blade in it. The knives were held
in place with plastic covered wire ties. It looked to be mid -late '70s.

According to Larry's site, this particular display is from '79

The line itself looks like it dates back to '73.

Do you know what years the "Imperial Stainless" stamp was used?
I have noted it on the two-tones with the crown shield, but the two-tone "ink pen" knives
have the '55 - '88 stamp???.

Gotta say I'm "tickled" with this one .

It had been sittin on "debay" under one of those "28 day Buy It Now" listings for who knows how long.
The pictures weren't to clear, all I could tell was it was black jigged.

Well, it showed up yesterday and the shield and pins are covered by the cell wrap .

I luv the toothpick pattern but it seems to be limited to filleting fish or pokin' badgers.
The addition of a second blade makes it much more useful, although it's still too long and pointy to carry comfortably!

What ya think happened here?

Here is another one I found out in the tool box. It is unused, still has a factory grease coating on it. The blade is etched and it comes in it`s original woodgrain cardboard box.

I don`t think I seen this type handle material shown yet, it is very attractive

And it's got a Sabre main on it Joe! Is that rare too? Never seen a tooth with one before. Very cool that it still has original factory oil on it MB! I have a few Hammer Brands that had original grease too.

I was at the Antique Mall yesterday and a guy had two Italian swithces just like those, $28 each. They were locked in a glass case so I really couldn't tell the quality.

Handles are cool to look at.
