Upcoming Patterns from GEC?

Post by vikingdog »

These are listed on the web site as upcoming patterns. I found a picture of a calf roper and a whaler but I have no idea what a full house or French Kate pattern looks like. Any ideas?

* Calf Roper
* Full House
* French Kate

* Whaler~ 5th Year Anniversary Knife

speculation abounds on those 2,Full House ;mult-blade(5)...French Kate an associate ( I'm being nice ) of Ben Hogans so could be another take on #65.........pure speculation bro.

heres a link in regards to Kate French...http://www.artsstudio.org/river_and_woods.htm

and an excerpt from article...

*****The great scandal was a barge on the river, a gaming hall -- "The Floating Palace" painted on its sides! Here it is said a person could quickly lose his money, his virtue and even his life. Ben Hogan, its owner, was one of the most notorious characters in the land and Ben's woman, redhead "French Kate", is said to have a "variety show" reputed to make the most hardened teamster blush. Both had criminal records as long as your arm. Both had paired up before in shady enterprises. Ben prided on calling himself "the wickedest man in the world". He had been a prize fighter, pirate, bounty jumper, blockade runner and war spy but, in spite of being sentenced to death for crimes against the government, Lincoln pardoned him! Legends abound of brawls and pistol shots in the sin-palace called "Hogan's Castle" after Ben met Kate in Pithole, a nearby oil town. Kate shot a few customers herself but the court in Tidioute commended her on her "judicious shooting" of town thugs! Eventually even the two split up... amidst gun shots, one of which clipped Ben's ear. But, Halleluia, Ben got religion... some say after hearing Charles Sawyer read from the Bible in a stage play; he signed a pledge, learned to read and spent most of the rest of his life -- another 18 years -- as an evangelist to save those he had driven into sin! Kate, once "The toast of Pipole" at the Old Glory Dance Hall, didn't do as well as a Christian and ran off with another bloke.*****

Thanks Earl, sounds like this could be fun. Your Ben Hogan knife is beautiful, you may need a French Kate to keep it company? ::nod::

Next up is the calf roper stockman and then next a "courthouse whittler".

Is the courthouse whittler going to be the conductor with an extra blade?
I was hoping they would lose a blade, not add one.

That's probably a good guess trey. That one just came from nowhere and jumped in line.

I'd like to see the #33 conductor pattern with a coping blade in place of the pen. Given what they've done and continue to do with their #25 pattern, I imagine we'll see all manner of variations on the new #33 frame.

No Little Rattler for me. I like the blade BUT it's a single blade and it's too small for me. I'm not going to spend that kind of money on a knife that small. ::huff::

I like those & the size is ok to me, what would a knife like that cost? ::shrug:: Probably too much for me but I am curious. ::shrug::
