Hi fellas . I am thinking of buying a new case with the ATS-34 blades, any testimonials on this steel, how is it? ::tu:: or ::td:: . Thanks. Also when did case start using it?

ATS-34 is a very fine steel, don't know what you plan on using the knife for...but it should handle anything a pocket knife would be used for... with flying colors.

ATS-34 is an excellent steel. ATS-34 is the Japanese version of the American 154 CM. I know that Hitatchi makes ATS-34 and Crucible Particle Metallurgy makes 154 CM. There may be other makers.
Someone else will need to answer when Case started to use ATS-34, I didn't know they did.
