Inexpensive Medium Stockman with 1095 Carbon Steel Blades?
Does anyone know of an inexpensive [less than $20.] medium-sized knife with carbon steel blades? Thanks.

You can probably find a USA made Schrade 34OT on ebay for less than $20, even less if you don't mind a used one. Most of them were 1095 steel, but you might find a later one that is stainless. If you get a used that has patina on the blade you can be pretty sure that it is 1095 carbon steel.
Watch out for the Chinese versions, they are not as good, and are 440C and not as good as the Schrade stainless, IMHO. Personally I much prefer the 1095 myself.
Be sure to search with the following numbers: 34OT, 340T and 34 OT, as they are sometimes listed as such. You might even find one listed as 340 T.
Let us know what you find.

Flea markets can have a wide variety of lightly-heavily used and abused knives much lower than $20. Towards the end of the flea market season I got a schrade 89OT 34OT, 77OT, and a vintage ulster barlow all for $3 each. They all had a thick patina on thier blades with light surface rust that cleaned off easily, but all had full blades, thats a deal you cant pass up.
