what do ya'll look like?

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

I loved that movie. I thought that Charger was going to break in half going down California St. (I think that is where part of that was shot).

I reckon I might as well save you all a trip to the post office and show my mug here. First, a little background...my user name is sort of a tribute to my dad and his name, which he never uses and most folks that have known him 50 years don't know it. He is one of a long line of first born sons given the name, and if he liked it better it would probably be mine. These shots are nearly 5 years old, taken on my honeymoon with my wife, Carrie. We don't seem to have many much newer laying around, but if I find some I'll update.

First shot is Carrie, trying to entice me into going down and taking a dip in the whirlpool

Next is me, hanging out with my buddy who posed for my avatar picture, discussing the merits of wearing green pants

I knew that avatar photo was familiar, the great Mr. Tesla. Mark Twain's buddy also.

Elbertson, while on your honeymoon, did you stay at The Oakes Hotel on the Canadian side? That looks very much like the view we had from our room a couple of years ago when we went to Niagara Falls.

Mike-
Tesla is one of the historical figures I admire most...the world could use more men of his intellect, determination, and desire to benefit society without profit being the motivating factor.

Jerry-
We stayed at the Hilton on the Canadian side. The view is of the Canadian falls, albeit somewhat obstructed.

Hey, if I was hired under certain conditions only to find out I was lied to, I'd do the same. I can't fault him for wanting to earn an income. The man was ripped off most of his life and took it on the chin, which speaks volumes. I'm glad he's finally getting credit for some of the things he did that the weasels took credit for.

Trevor, I sorta knew it was tongue in cheek and don't have a problem with it. I guess I just champion the underdogs who don't rely much on questionable tactics to succeed. Not that Tesla was faultless by any means, but in comparison to some of his contemporaries, he wasn't too bad. As far as swindlers go, I have seen (and worked for) more than my share. Seems to be a major trend these days.

He truly was one of the brightest minds ever.

Oh, and this is my dad - I kinda look like him.
This is on Long Island, Alaska. Our strips were next to each other so we took
some photos, this is the second cut off of a Sitka Spruce (he's standing on the butt
log)!!
Nice pic. WOW!! Sitka Spruce. A lot of guitar tops in that baby. Thanks for the pic.

I always wanted to try making a dugout someday, a log that size would be good raw material to start with as I'm sure it would require a bit of corrective action!

A log that size would make a dug-out barge :P

I love the Superman picture! I thought I would add this one of Bret888 going over the falls with Ryan. Their expressions crack me up!

I am sure Bret will appreciate me posting this one...
