M-1866 FRENCH SWORD BAYONET & SCABBARD

Post by Draac »

Original M-1866 French Sword Bayonet has a brass handle and a steel guard. It has a nice dark patina on both sides all the way down. It is called a Tataghan use for the 11 MM. Chassepot needle - fire rifle. Also mounts to the 11MM. M1864 Gras rifle. It also has writing on the top of the blade with the date. The grip and blade are very tight. The scabbard has a nice dark patina and is in great shape with no dents.Overall length: 25-1/2".Blade:19".
