They sure are pretty

Here is a Schrade Cut Co. Senator got last weekend. Looks like a 9146T, but mine has brass liners instead of n/s and the back is not full milled. Going by the Big Book of Pocket Knives. Am I correct with 9146T?

I think that pattern is sometimes known as an 'orange blossom' whittler.

Bret just got these for me recently. The Robeson is a neat shape and the Adams & Bro. is just a little bugger.

KnifeGirl, just FYI. That little Robeson pearl whittler pattern was introduced at Christmas time in 1910, so that's your start date when bracketing its approximate age, say 1910 to 1940.

The 1940 is a generous guess. I suspect they dropped it a good while before that.

Well, Levine's Guide does not illustrate this pattern in any form, so I don't know the name. I've always called it a "sway-back" whittler.

I think "reverse congress" fits pretty well.

It might already have a name and I just am not aware of it.

"Rocking Chair Whittler"?

Here's a few more to keep the thread going.:

First up is a Schrade lobster candle end with a black pearl scale on one side and regular pearl on the other from the factory.

Second is a Wahkonsa Cutlery Co.3 blade.Levine's guide(#3)lists the name but no information except a High rating.

Third is a W&G Vogel Cutlery Co.2 blade with a built in nail clipper.To access the clipper,there is a slide button that releases the spring loaded handle.

Fourth is three views of a W.H.Morley multi-blade knife with very fancy file work on the spine and file blade.

Last is a four blade marked,"Silver Steel" on one side and an owl's face on the other.I have no info on this knife at all but it looks old.

Here is an old unusual pearl pen knife. All blades are unmarked. I think it was made in Sheffield in the 1860-90 period. All the blades have a square extended kick. The pins that hold the pearl on each has a little brass rosette. The pearl is in three pieces and carved to match the ornate liner pattern. The pearl is exceptionally firey on this knife.

To top it all off it has 8 blades!

I think Kathy is gonna like this one

Yes, Kathy does like that one!!! The little brass rosettes are a nice touch!
