Any ideas on this one? FRANK stag utility knife

I nicknamed this one "Franky", I picked it up today but don't know much about it. Only marking is one main blade says "frank". Closest thing I found in goins was franklin cutlery the bolsters look very similar to to the eating set pictured in goins as well. Stag handles, a saw blade,awl,hawkbill blade and clip blade, appears hand made? Any ideas?

hmmmm, thats interesting heirich sounds german and I see quite a bit of german influence on this knife. got any contact info for him by chance?

I don't think that is a Henry Frank knife;he makes nothing but high end folders.I saw a set of six he made about 20 years ago and they sold for I believe $50,000.

That awl looks more like a Seton's needle;used for innoculating sheep and other animals.Definitely looks German though and a nice one at that.

Hi I am not trying to hijack this thread, but I just purchased a H FRANK knife on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 6726708409 and I was looking for an address for H FRANK to see if it was an early one of his. It sure seems his style for one of his very early knives.

sorry muskrat man,apologize for my intrusion... nifman theres NO WAY thats an authentic H.H. Frank knife,no disrespect, but that guy is a master engraver of the first order and if I remember correctly he cut his teeth engraving german shotguns BEFORE he came to the states in the mid 60's and began knives,not to mention the seller being less than reputable by many accounts,any more discussion should probably be taken to another thread imho
