Antique case bowie knife serial number 337
I have a very old case "bowie" knife with a stag handle that was owned by my grandfather, the serial numer is 337, does anyone know where i could find info on the age of this knife and possibly the value, i would never sell it but it would be good to know more about it. thanks

Just a thought, but if might be a re-handle job. Lately I've run across several of Case's version of the "quartermaster knife"--the 337-6--that have been re-handled with stag.
Quality should not be an accident. So what is the explanation for some of the knives we've seen in the past few years? (from A Knifebuyer's Manifesto)
