That burnt orange sure is cool.
Northfield definitely puts out the classy looking work knives.

I bought it from Gary @ Northwest Knife Company__here on AAPK,and that's what he had it listed as==he had the blue one too !!__ I have bought several knives from him, that were unique, including this one, with the fish shield ( 1 of 25 ),from some TV auction house ???____the #72's are a favorite of mineslipjointed wrote:That burnt orange sure is cool.Northfield definitely puts out the classy looking work knives.

Slipjointed the totals haven't been released yet..give it a month maybe two then we should see them.....but then again pieces like the sunfish and lockback might not make it to the list....I still have a few from 2008 and 2009 that haven't been published though GEC seems to be doing better about publishing these one and three of a kind.

it would be very, very easy for someone to modify their very own "one of a kind" gec and sell it for beaucoup bucks, telling the buyer "it's so rare, it's not even on the production list!"
but, there are in fact many knives on their official list of which only 1, 2, 3, etc were made.
you have to be careful.

This is the very last #36 Tidioute sunfish produced in 2009 with brass liner and
pins with nickel silver bolsters. They have since switched to an all steel model.
There must have been just enough hemlock green bone left over from the #73
jacks to produce this one of a kind toenail. Pic is crumby but the knife's sweet.
All Sunfish are sweet!!! But Now that one is extra special

glad you were able to get one of those - certainly the gec buy of the year so far.
btw, one of those that greg sold was a prototype.
unless i'm mistaken, that may be the only stag gec prototype ever offered to the public.
i heard all the others have gone to ken (gec's vp).
