Spyderco Torx Screw Removal

Hi guys. I have just acquired my very first Spyderco knife. It has pre-drilled holes for moving the pocket clip to accomodate various carry options. I prefer a tip up carry method and my new knife is currently set up for tip down carry. It would be a simple matter of removing three torx screws and relocating them and the clip to the preferred location, but I don't have a torx screw driver small enough to do the job. I checked my local hardware store and they don't handle any that small either. I was hoping some of you fix it guys could steer me in the right direction to acquiring the tool I need to do the job.

I got my mini torx driver at Home Depot. Has 8 of the smallest torx bits. Bout $6 IIRC.. If you cant find one, I could send ya one. FYI a small bit of threadlock is needed when reassembling.

How do you like that knife so far? You can't beet the price on those, very nice looking.

I really am impressed with the quality of this knife. It seems to be flawlessly constucted and just feels good in hand. The ergonomics are excellent. When I open the blade it locks up with a double click that reminds me of my Ruger Single Six being cocked. There is no play whatsoever in the blade. and it opens and closes with a silky smoothness. I really have not called on it to do much work thus far but the 8Cr13MoV steel should be very adequate for my purposes.

Ive been using one with a plain edge for about two months. Sharpest knife out of the box I can remember. How do you like the full grind? A vast improvement IMO. I finally dulled mine by cutting some insulation off a copper water line. One trip across the steel and all was good again. There is also a smaller version called persistance. Spyderco makes a great knife, dont they?

So far I haven't found anything about this knife not to like. It is very well made. The flat grind suits me just fine and this knife seems to be one which would last for many, many years.
Does your knife have the same steel ?

Same knife, just with plain edge. I was amazed how much cardboard it cut and would still shave...

I got some torx screw drivers from Menards. You have to be carefull as a lot of times the ones that use bits are not hardened very good and
they simply don't last.

Something like these would be good.

If you have a Sears close by you can probably find the torx you need there.
