D2 or 1095

Post by ky greg »

I'm looking to purchase a survival knife and the blade I'm looking at is offered in either D2 or 1095 steel....which is the more durable, holds the best edge and ease of sharpening?....thanks

8) Greg, that's a tough question because I think the D2 will hold an edge the longest but the 1095 is an easier steel to sharpen. ::shrug::
