Looking forward to learning from y'all

Post by jimisides »

My name is Jimmie Sides and I started collecting knives about 15 years ago with my dad. He passed away in August, 04, and left me somewhere in the vicinity of 700 pocket knives. He was especially fond of toothpicks. So I have about 100 of those. I have one folder of 60 case knives. Some of the knives came from flea markets and some came from our junk store trips. We would scour the land for junk stores, etc. I wonder if anyone has ever heard of a custom knife with a Hegedus marking. I am looking forward to learning from y'all. I'm including a photo of one of my favorite toothpicks.

Welcome jimisides,

That sounds like quite a collection.

I've found reference to a Lou Hegedus...PO Box 441...Cave Springs, GA 30124.

Best I've got.

Hello Jimmie Sides. I can't wait to hear about your toothpick collection. I'll certainly watch for your posts on this topic and about toothpicks. Those are some gorgeous knives in My opinion. Your father had impeccable taste. Sorry about his passing. Welcome fellow Toothpick , and collector/accumulator dude. Nice Primble by the way.
