Found a Boker that I hadn't taken pics of.
Anyone have any experience and advice on how to burn and darken up the mark side of this knife?.....I'm pleased with the pile side just not so much with the mark...to light.

Boys......I figured it out myself.
I used my gas stove....wrapped aluminum foil around one end of the bolster and open blades and held the other end with a shop rag...Held it over high flame until I got the desired color then cooled Her off and switched ends.
I should have got Her a bit darker but the Old Lady was scared I was going to set the house on fire.
I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Here's a few from my accumulation:

First up is a half congress by A.Feist of Germany;a souvenir of Ireland.
Second is a small half congress with pearl scales by Beacon Knife Co Germany.
Third is a Boker Olde Stag with synthetic stag scales.
Fourth is a Case 5488 with a broken back spring.Hopefully Kaleb will be able to fix it some time down the road.
Fifth is an F.Ward B4*Any congress with pearl scales;unusual shield,and fluted bolsters.This knife dates around 1860.
Sixth is a Henckels red bone congress that had the emblem missing.I found a small gold miniature coin and fitted it in.
Seventh is a Hibbard Spencer & Bartlett half congress.
Eighth is an H.W.Mason Sheffield double congress(8 blades) in kind of relic condition but very unusual.
Ninth is a Krusius Brothers with ivory scales.
Last for now is a Schmactenberg Brothers half congress with the blade marked Finzer's Tobacco Knife and stag scales.

Yeh, it probably would, or maybe, he just kicked her to the curb. I think I heard somewhere that the Kissing Cranes and the Henckel Twins were double dating. Just what I heard.

Philco, Glad to see you've got my Christmas present in the box. Have you wrapped it up and shipped it already?
Great collection there - even got the tang stamp series and the elusive 1973 Wiss LTD edition!
I would say all you need now is the "Johnny Reb" knife from the great American Story series, but there is no room for it in the box!
