Henckels Question

[Paladin]

Does anyone have an idea as to the age of this Henckels? Is the box a clue as to the age? I realize this is not a vintage knife but I suspect it is not a current one either. I haven't found much info on Henckels in my usual reference books.
As always, any help will be appreciated.

post 1969? box looks to be a 60's early 70's print...just an opinion...

I don't know anything about dating the knife Ray but I really like it. Puts a different spin on the classic barlow. Nice knife!

I had a couple of them around 2000-2001 with the same boxes. Those were brought here by United Cutlery and I think they stopped making them five or six years ago. Henckels quit making its own pocketknives around 1960.

I've heard Olbertz and Boker made them for Henckels at various times after that.

As I understand it, Boker was making Henckels up until 2004,
and Heckels haven't been made since.
Mike Latham has lots on his website (Collectorknives.net),
and they are all from 2004.
I have a couple, and they have about the same box as yours.
Also, the red shield identifies the knife as carbon steel and the
black shield denotes stainless blades.
That's about all I know.

I don't think you can narrow it down by the box, as they have used that one for 20 years. And on 2000+ the red shield meant carbon, but in the early 1990's I have seen many that were opposite (black shield were carbon). The closest I could guess would be 1990's.
