Whittle Basket

Now that has turn cold, I have lost my thirst for sitting at the fire pit and whittling shavings for the evening’s fire. What to do? Set up a “Whittle Basket” in the shop, of course. I save the shavings in a large trash bag so that I will be able to hit the ground running when the fire pit season comes again.

I've all but lost my whittling calluses on my hand's form this early cold spell

Would I be too much of a redneck if I set one up in the living room by my easy chair?

Hey Marty

Sounds good to me - however, when I whittle, the chips fly, if you know what I mean. But a bush and a dust pan make quick work of the clean up off a concrete floor - seems it would be a bit more of a chore if your easy chair like mine is surrounded by carpet!!!!!!
