Camillus Office Knife

I know that everybody and their brothers made these, but can anybody place a date on this Office Knife? Thanks

Goins dates that stamping as 1976-present (present, in the case of my edition of Goins is 1998) . It's usually called the "long underline" stamp.

I don't think anyone has made office knives since the 1960 (my best guess).
One of the things they used the office knife for was an eraser.
My Grandmother had a fixed blade eraser in her office.
You used it to abrade the ink off the paper.
Wite-Out, erasable ink, better erasers, self correcting type writer ribbons and then the computer with spell check pretty much did away with the need for a knife blade to erase a mistake in ink.

I think Camillus went through at least 2 or 3 tang stamps after that one.
I am hoping to go through the tang stamps for Camillus with Tom Williams, sometime this next year.
Maybe we can get a better idea of the dates based on Camillus own historian, Tom.
