Found an old knife

I'm new here and was wondering if anyone could tell me about a knife I found.
I believe it's a cattaraugus with# 225q or o . I found it here in Alaska while hunting and it's in pretty rough shape. All the leather was nearly rotted off the handle.
I'd like to know a bit about it's manufacture and if anyone could point me in the right direction for a custom handle?

You found a Quatermaster knife issued to officers of the US Army during WW2. It was made in New York by the Cattauragus knife Co. which is out of business now but Case has the rights to the name. You can find some for sale on Ebay on a regular basis. Search the internet for more information and believe me there is allot of it.
