Re Handled ?

I know the auction ended, but I'm stil curious to see if I was right.

The blades looks unrealistically weathered for the handles. One bolster looks like its been peened, and the center pin on one side almost looks like it was spun. You can see some white around that center pin, like it was freshly cut. And most of my old Kabar's have brass pins, not nickel.

The handles look to be pretty well pocket worn to me.

That tang stamp looks to be from the 1960`s. Nothing looks really out of place. The blades have an even patina and match the handles pretty well. Looks like someone really carried and used this one. It is a low dollar knife, sold for $13, No one in their right mind would counterfeit something like this ::nod::

The handles are stag, not bone. It would be a 1950's to 1960's Kabar, looks fine to me. It was a good buy for someone. Kabar did not use bone after WWII at least from what I have observed. They used stag but jigged black was used instead of bone.
