ENJOY!
Thanks '46. I kinda sorta thought it was the Exec. Whittler but wasn't sure. They are great looking aren't they. I have one in stag, but I sorta feel that the main Wharnnie might be a little fragile, especially the tip.
Well I tend to agree but I'm just collecting it, not using it.

This one's on the way to me from augustus88. I've wanted one of these for awhile now. The picture is his, mine don't look this good.

Man that is beautiful, Mike.

Possibly the prettiest Barlow I've seen, and a great picture …

Nice 'acquisition' ::tu::

Ahhh but it would be splendid for splinter pickin'. I'm thinkin' one of the Exec's just might be my Christmas present to myself. I have one each of the fruit knife and the Riverboat Gambler. One of the Wharncliffe Whittlers would round out the group quite nicely.

Nice one Mike. I have a few from that same time frame I think.
I don't think they are very old, but they sure are nice and good users!

Here are a couple I got in the mail Saturday.
Notice anything unusual about one of them?

Schrade actually made these for Belknap Hardware Co., the hardware distributor who owned the the John Primble name.

This ad is from the 1974 Belknap Hardware catalog.

Dale, I think it's very interesting! I like those tidbits of information very much. Always learning, and it seems we can count on you to challenge us with you welcome quizes. Thanks a lot Dale and don't quit. It's always fun!!!!!!!!

Also interesting is the term "meerschaum plastic" in the add. Somehow it conjures up the term "stag bone".

Here's a little jack that came in the mail today........ High Carbon Steel U.S.A. on the tang stamp.

Goin's says made my Camillus from about 1927-1940 for Sears & Roebuck.
Made with "Sta-Sharp" etched on the blade. (no visable etch remains)
