Been awhile since I posted, been unpacking from the move (New Mexico to Nebraska) and things have been a mess. Never doing this again !!

I seem to own more lockbacks than anything else, guess I always prefered them as edc's over the years. And I have a soft spot for the Japanese era / Cole Ka-bars.

Thanks. You have solved a great mystery for me. I've owned this knife for 20 years or more and never did know what it was. Mine has a 4 1/2 inch blade, but now that I know it says Ka Bar I can barely make out the etch.

Yep, if mine hadn't still had a faint etch, I'd be stumped too ! They are from the 80's vintage, when Cole bought out Kabar I believe.
