hello gents, can anyone tell me what grade stainless was used for the blades of these knives?

Just a guess but probably some kind of J2 stainless. Low production $ and more profit $, that was Parkers M.O.

Jim Parker can't catch a break around here; I kind of liked the man myself. That being said; it does sound a lot like Buzz.

Never having met Jim Parker in person or done any business with him,I cannot comment on his character as a businessman or as a person.That being said I will say that Jim Parker did more for knife collecting than any ten other people I or anyone else could name off-hand.And that is ALL I can say on this subject.

Aimus, no apology necessary; everyone has their own opinions. I have bought and sold some knives with Jim; at his store in Chattanooga and knife shows. I don't thinks he ever pulled any fast ones; but was always glad to give advice and share his knowledge on knives. As a businessman; I am sure he wanted to make a profit; but Jim had a genuine love for knives. As for Buzz; I think it's all about the money.

Well I guess it always comes down to two kind of people where ever Parker is involved, those that love him and those that hate him. I'm with Paul, everyone has their own opinion and they have to go on their experiences with or of the man. Paul, I have to agree with you, what ever J. Parker did, right or wrong, I think in general he did like knives. In my opinion I don't think Buzz cares the least about knives or the hobby of knife collecting. The $ is king of his world.
