Wow! Now that's a nice knife. I have one that is a little later when the blade configuration was changed from a pen to a clip and the coping was on same side as main. Rehandled by Orvet. I carry this knife every day and it sure rides nice.

I had one like tjmurphy's when I was much younger. I used it for quite a few years. Eventually it disappeared, then turned up again just last year in my Dad's garage. By then it was too far gone to salvage, but it brought back a lot of good memories.

edited to add: I've been thinking about picking up another one just for old times sake and was lucky enough to find one on ebay.

I only have one #72, the Boy Scout whittler with delrin scales but I thought you might like to see the attached photograph. These are in the collection of carrmillus, a new member here. He sent me photos of his favorite knives and with his permission, I wanted to share them with you.

One of the nice things about being eclectic, or purt near crazy (and broke) in accumulating knives is you have lots of choices. So……….. I’ve got one of these too.
It’s a lot like Murphys, only his is finer by far. I like this knife a lot. Being a carpenter, we match up quite well.

Thanks for the tip on the Camillus knives Mike. I do not have them yet but did buy the knives and the box on eBay. I would not have bought the knives without the box. It does remind me of when I was a kid and the tobacco supplier in my town also sold knives by the box. He would always show us those new shining knives when he came into the pool hall. We bought a box of Schrade knives (he also sold Camillus and Imperials) from him once and split them up. I think everbody lost their knive within a month or so. Hopefully, I will hang on to these longer.
