National Knife Museum

Has anyone been to the National Knife Museum that opened up this past Nov at Smokey Mountain Knife Works?
I have been readin about it in my news letters, and wondered if anyone had some pictures to share?
I do plan on ordering their Knife they are having produced for the museum!

The museum is really nice as is SMKW. The wife and I spent four hours in there the first time we were there. We were there on the day of the grand opening of the museum.

Nice pics of the museum!
I have one concern though............the fluorescent lights in the display cases. My concern is oxidization of the knives handles made of Delrin & celluloid.

I managed a small chain of Smoke Shops & one store that was mostly cutlery. I have seen Delrin oxidize as well as other handles. Pipe stems made of Vulcanite (hard rubber) are especially vulnerable. Vulcanite may be similar to some of the early plastics used on knife handles. ::blah:: ::blah::

My question is: Have they taken proper precaution to prevent the oxidization and decay of the handles? There are covers you can purchase to cut down on the UV lite that causes the oxidization, but they aren't too effective (at least in the late 1980s). Another problem is the heat build up in the cases from the fluorescent lights. I would think the heat would be particularly destructive to the celluloid.

Does anyone know what they have done to address these problems?

I would hate to see a nice display of knives ruined from the heat & UV light.
