My new CSC!!!!
First impression is great knife. Great fit, feel, heft, snap, and sharpness. This is a definate keeper!
A few issues and pics (little stuff)...
Pic from the web site... Knife I received...different jig pattern, nothing major...cuts run the length of the knife. Open and large (thick) blade... I can't get a good pic from my cell phone...the blades apear to be polished on both sides.
The springs line up perfectly with the exception of the small coping blade...micro raise, will prob level out with use.
Great feal in the hand, will be used as a carry knife.
Thanks
Matt

Great lil' knife, MC.
I like the stag bone jigging better (I think that's what they call the jigging on yours)

Re: My new CSC!!!!
singin ~ I don't know where you get your info from ~ but you are incorrect on 3 counts
~ blade is mirror finished on mark side only
~ blade does not come from Queen
~ there are former Schrade employees at Canal Street Cutlery and they design, tool their own parts, and make all their knives according to their own specs
We appreciate that you appreciate the knife ~ and it is an amazing knife!

Re: My new CSC!!!!
Singin, you may be thinking of Canal Street's first couple of years. All their current patterns are there own, and produced by them, there isn't a Queen part to be found. Their current steels are 440C, D2, and 14-4CrMo.

Re: My new CSC!!!!
oh ~ also the smaller blades are "crinked" by design ~ so they can fold back into the liner on either side the larger blade

After a couple of days I can still say I'm very pleased with this knife.
The action has smoothed out with a little lube and work (some grit in small blade).
A great buy, would recomend it to anyone!

Re: My new CSC!!!!
Matt,
The catalog photo you posted is of a amber jigged bone canitler. The one you show that you purchased is an amber stagged bone canitler.
They are two different handle options available on numerous Canal Street knives. Now that you know this you have a great excuse to get yourself another Canal Street. (as if you needed one
)
By the way, that is a fine looking knife.

I bought this one from Michael yeaterday at the Shenandoah Valley Knife Show...3-1/2" Three Blade Cannitler, Mahoghany Buffalo Horn. Knife # 1 and it has th Canal Street Cutlery and the Drop Point Hunter Shields. What a beauty! Thanks Michael.
Sorry about the low quality pictures, I got home last night and couldn't wait to show them off!

Nice knife. I really like that big fat spear

EDIT: Just read the shield and it says "Drop Point Hunter". So, I really like the big fat blade, whatever it is

Re: My new CSC!!!!
Drop Point Hunter refers to Michael Siegle's Store where the Cannitler was produced for! It was his way of marking his brand if you will....CSC made these for his store
