Camillus Mark 2s Tang Stamp?

Post by ibele-finley »

Can anyone tell me some info on Mark 2 tang stamps. The Viet Nam era ones have "U.S." over "CAMILLUS N.Y.", right? And when did they change to "U.S." over "CAMILLUS?" Or any other info that fits this question if I got something wrong. Thanks. ::shrug::

They dropped the NY on Feb.1,1974. Handles and sheaths still had the dark brown "ox blood" special coating for a few years after that before changing to black.
The beatings will continue until morale has improved...
